Reproductive Health & Rights
Ensuring safe motherhood, facilitating quality healthcare

Every woman has the right to a safe and dignified childbirth experience. If women have the requisite knowledge and services, the chances of safe pregnancies will manifold.

C3 focuses on improving the lives and health of pregnant women, mothers, children and adolescents. We work with communities, We work with communities, maternal health champions, health providers, and stakeholders at the state and national levels to raise awareness on maternal health, build capacities and strengthen maternal health services and systems. C3’s work and experience clearly shows that community-based interventions in reproductive health and rights can significantly impact women’s lives.

At the community level, we actively promote collective action, empowering women to be aware of and demand equitable healthcare services. We challenge patriarchal and social norms which hinder reproductive choices, and engage men in conversations around family planning. Additionally, we build crucial awareness on unnecessary C-sections, highlighting the associated risks, and ensuring women have access to accurate information.

We work with healthcare providers and facilities, transforming provider and institutional norms through various social behavior change programs, ensuring that every woman has a positive childbirth experience. Simultaneously, we are dedicated to strengthening respectful, women-centric care by providing support in promoting midwifery in India.
