Virtual Discourse on 'Panchayat Leadership: Initiating Agenda for Localizations for SDGs in India'

With India being a signatory of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, it is important to continue to empower local self-governance institutions like Panchayats, as they are uniquely positioned to respond to the needs of rural communities in specific and targeted ways, and move the needle forward towards larger sustainable development.

To elaborate on strategies to ensure this, and to work towards a convergent agenda for collective efforts and inclusive growth by strengthening Panchayati Raj institutions, Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3) organized a virtual discourse to bring together senior leadership from the Panchayati Raj and Health departments from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka, as well as elected women representatives.
