Shri Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Education Minister, Government of Bihar, inaugurated the summer course on Gender & Development. This course is developed and initiated by A. N. Sinha Institute of Social Studies (ANSISS) and Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3)- Sakshamaa to provide useful tools for examining the link between gender and development, in the local as well as global context. It aims at equipping students and researchers with tools and frameworks around gender-based analysis, which are essential for formulating gender-sensitive policies and projects, thereby enhancing economic opportunities for women and other gender minorities such as the LGBTQ community. The course intends to facilitate students with an understanding of the need for engendering development and the importance of working towards bridging the existent gender gap.
