1. INVENTIONS DON'T SEE GENDER

It’s not just young girls, if you ask any adult also, who are some of the famous women inventors or scientist and many will be as lost the young girls in the short ad. The gender divide is very apparent in the field of science and technology but also the media coverage is very gender biased when it comes to highlighting work of women in STEM. Can you name five women inventors or scientists without googling!

2. EQUAL WORLD FOR YOU AND ME

Some of the small shots in this ad make us smile and hope that we see a gender equal world sooner than waiting for the next 200 years. We love how this ad talks about how are actions, our education, our chores and so many things do not care whether one is a man or a woman but the deep stereotypical roles that have ingrained in our minds.

3. NOT MORE, NOT LESS

There is nothing, we mean it, nothing in this world that a woman can’t do whether it’s at work, sports or other activities. We work equally hard, sweat as much to succeed but we never get either equal opportunity or equal pay. Well crafted, with just words and great direction, this short film highlights gender discrimination, especially in sports. Food for thought- just see the cricket teams in India- do you think Mithali Raj gets paid as much as Virat Kohli?

4. ONLY ASKING FOR OUR SHARE

Women are 50% of the population; we should have equal right to everything in the world! This ad is all about claiming what should be ours, the words are powerful and make one want to stand up for what is rightfully ours. Special mention - the right to make our own decisions.

5. WHY LIMIT IT TO JUST A LAND OF DREAMS?

Wow! That’s what we always feel when we watch this ad. The film is all about claiming public places. This is the ideal city we want; where we can run, play, do anything. With no fear, no judgement and no stopping whatsoever. We have this song on our playlist, and play it loud whenever we need motivation. Add it to yours too!
