Dainik Bhaskar reports on Elected Women Representatives' interaction with various journalists, in Madhubani district

District level media interaction with the elected women representatives working with C3's Champion intervention. The theme of the media workshop was “role of media in ensuring availability and quality of reproductive maternal and child health care and nutrition services".  The main objective of the workshop was to share the work of elected women leaders from panchayat for ensuring the availability of services and quality of services at Govt. health centres. Media can raise the issues of these leaders or Health and Nutrition services through their print or electronic media platform to attract the attention of policy and decision makers. To increase the participation of panchayat leaders in ensuring services, quality of services and in monitoring process, Champion intervention was started in 2018 in 10 districts of Bihar with 2000 women leaders.  EWRs confidently shared their journey of becoming champion of Health and Nutrition with all the participants and also answered questions raised by those present at the meeting. This kind of workshop with media plays very supportive role in accessing data, case studies and success stories.
